Protected cells feature an integrated electronic circuit that prevents over-charge, over-discharge, and short-circuiting. Unprotected cells lack this circuit and are typically used in custom battery packs or devices with built-in protection.
How should I store my lithium-ion batteries?
Batteries should be stored in a cool, dry place at approximately 40-50% charge. Always use plastic battery cases to prevent terminals from touching metal objects, which can cause a short circuit.
What are your shipping restrictions for lithium batteries?
Due to DOT and IATA regulations, lithium batteries must be shipped via ground transportation. We comply with all safety packaging standards to ensure your order arrives securely and legally.
